Breakfast and After School Clubs / Extended Services

BREAKFAST / AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS AND SPORTS CLUBS

Available term time only for pupils in Reception - Year 6

Breakfast club is available Monday - Friday from 07:45 and needs to be booked in advance through the School Spider app.
We welcome children every morning to attend our FREE breakfast club from 08:15 to enjoy bagels, crumpets, toast or cereals before the school day begins.

After School Club is available Monday - Friday, we have two options; 15:20 - 16:30 and is charged at £3 per session or 15:20 - 18:00 and is charged at £7 per session. 

In order to book and pay for a place at our breakfast or after school club, please use the School Spider app.

We also have Gilchrist Sports Coaching delivering Sports tuition to all of our pupils during the school day as well as before and after school clubs. All places for clubs need to be booked through the school spider app.

Every TUESDAY we hold our coffee morning for all of our families from 9am in the Community Hub.

Every WEDNESDAY we hold our toddler group "Toddle Tots" from 9am in the Community Hub.

Child Protection and Safeguarding

Schools must have rigorous policies and procedures in place to safeguard children. Our school has several members of staff who have undertaken specialist training. Each School has a Designated Safeguarding Lead.


The law places a duty on the Headteacher and their staff to report any obvious signs or suspected cases of child abuse – which include non-accidental injury, neglect, emotional abuse and/or sexual abuse. The procedures are intended to protect children and all schools are expected to take the attitude that where there are grounds for concern it is better to be safe than sorry. This means that the school risks upsetting some parents by reporting a case that proves unfounded on investigation. In such circumstances, it is hoped that families would accept that the school acted in what were believed to be the child’s best interests.


In line with government requirements, the school maintains a central list of checks on appointed staff and adults who work in or visit the school.
